The closures are preassembled with a variety of septa.Magnetic Screw Caps with Pre-Cut Star Septa:Preassembled closures include pre-cut septa where only the carrier is cut through in a Y- form, leaving the PTFE lamination in tact. The unhurt PTFE lamination gives 100% protection to the sample while leaving a 0.05mm thick PTFE portion remaining for needle penetration. The Y-form in the pre-cut silicone allows for a better flow of air during sample pick up in order to avoid a vacuum in the vial. Designed for use with any autosampler using a magnet to transport the vial from station to station.

Poly Crimp Seal, 11mm, Red Cap, PTFE/Silicone Septum. A crimp cap constructed of plastic that fits virtually any 11mm crimp sample vial. Use a standard crimping tool to securely crimp the Poly Crimp seal onto any crimp top vial. The Poly Crimp seal also permits an airtight seal by hand without crimping. Although the Poly Crimp seal can work with any crimp top vial, the tighter manufacturing tolerances and quality assurance program with the vials supplied by Chemglass certifies better performance when the cap is used with Chemglass supplied vials.
